IBC - Instituto Bubonem Cultural

Our Institute

Our Mission

Encourage children and young people to discover a bigger world, through their curiosity, promoting new scientific and cultural knowledge, helping educational institutions to create in young people the thirst for knowledge and respect for nature.

Our Vision

What people do not know, does not exist for them, making their world smaller - Let's expand this world. Many are born, grow up and die unaware that they might have been special to the world. We will discover and create opportunities for these.

2019

In 2019 we started the exhibition “Brazil - history and memories stamped in money: national banknotes and coins”, funded through Brazil's Rouanet Law. It was visited by more than 8,000 people, in just over two months.

2018

In 2018, we had 04 exhibitions of the world's different banknotes (currencies) and 02 events to present the institute to the Itu region. At the end of the year, we got a donation of a space from the company Emicol, which will be used for future exhibitions and visits.

2017

In 2017, now with the Institute formalized, started activities promote historical and cultural exhibitions in an itinerant way in different spaces of the city and around the region, until we have a physical place to promote our exhibitions.

2016

This group formatted the Legal work to make this will happen, giving the name of IBC, being Bubonem the chosen name, because it means Owl in Latin. The owl is the symbol of curiosity, of knowledge, of wisdom is an icon that translates everything we want to value in our Institution.

2015

This idea took shape when in 2015 we added a group of leaders who had a similar conscience and who understood that through education they could help change the reality of people's lives, their families and sometimes the whole communities.

2014

The IBC (Instituto Bubonem Cultural) borned in 2014 with an idea to develop a space that would foster children's curiosity for culture, science, reading and art.
